This project was for designing three series of books about graphic designers. I chose three graphic designers whom I liked and researched about them.
To be looked like a series of books, I had to use the same name as the book I put on the top. And one quote from every designer was required on every books' cover.
The first designer I chose was Massimo Vignelli, who designed New York City's subway map. Therefore, I designed his book by getting an idea from the subway map. Hence, I designed his quote as the subway's station names.
The second designer was Milton Glaser, who designed the "I love N.Y." logo. I wanted to use his signature logo for the cover, so I used the same font for the "I" next to the red heart. Also, I used the font for his quote.
My last designer was Lotta Neiminen, who designed characters and illustrations for apps or Facebook advertising. She was the youngest designer I chose, so I felt free and colorful from her works that caught my eyes. Therefore, I had drawn free shapes and designed them colorful. also, l liked her quote that "Color is very important in my work and something that I love to play with."
